
Aloo Posto
A easy and tasty Bengali dish made of potatoes and posto (poppy seeds).
Ingredients:
             Potatoes (diced) - 250g
             Poppy Seeds (khuskhus) - 50g
             Mustard Oil - 2 tbsp
             Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
             Green Chillies (chopped) - 2
             Salt – To taste
             Water - 2 cups
Procedure:
First boil the poppy seeds in double the quantity of water. As they are boiled take out and let them cool down. Then grind them to a paste and keep aside. Take a kadai(wok) and heat mustard oil in it. Once it is hot sauté the potatoes in it for 5 minutes. Then add poppy seed paste, turmeric powder, salt and water. Cook till the potatoes are done. Add green chillies and serve.
